Today's poem explores the beautiful theme of changing seasons. It begins with the Northern Hemisphere's gentle arrival into spring, and transitions to the Southern Hemisphere's entrance into autumn. It captures nature's cyclical dance across the globe.
NORTHERN HEMISPHERE
Daffodils peek from bonnets of snow
Blinking awake from their frostbitten nap.
Trees stretch and yawn
As warm breezes blow
Knocking off summer hats
I revel in
Smiling sunflowers,
Careworn chrysanthemums,
And charming camellias
A testament to
My inner blooming
As the black bear awakens
As the red fox arrives
A stirring deep inside calls me
To a new beginning -
That of my own awakening.
SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE It’s not in the turning of the leaves That I notice it most It’s how my body slows How the inner urgency Washes away With the warm summer days Leaving in its place A calm knowing A grounded connection I watch as the world's colour palette changes Where lush greens and vibrant yellows thrived Wet browns and muted greys reside I gaze upon life's cycles With an energy Of surrender Of acceptance For the clouds Though dark and unmoving Will clear The flowers Though covered in snow Shall bloom Let go Let nature, Her frosty song sing And in time It shall be spring!

the changing season in a few
words from different point of view.
Your poem is indeed glorious.
The endless cycle – How harmonious!
Well done, Messy Ink; again, you add color and framing to a mixed palate and a poem is painted. Love being part of a collaboration that covers the globe.
