Gallery
A collaborative poem
walk in you will find yourself in a Dali dreamscape coloured with all that came before none of it is a lie it is all you
the gallery of my life is sizeable
so many pieces displayed
all true works of art
on every wall hangs
the embraces of past loves
with punishments and promises
as the colour palette
and each decorated
with vows found
washed up
along the soul-dashed shores
the centre of the main hall
displays domestic scenes
that never fail to arouse
my senses
a kitchen
so long and narrow
once a space of much delight
a place so filled with life
by various matriarchs
with their singing and hip swaying
as love was alchemized
scattered around each corner
are small relics
half forgotten stories
each etched with an era
the girl
the woman
the crone
all my time is spent
strolling past each exhibit
losing myself in each display
never sure of whether
I am the image
or the one viewing it This was a collaborative poem! Here are the wonderful writers that contributed:
Rolando Andrade, Tate Ellis, HEW(Hue) of Poetry, Bob (the Green Druid) Johnson, Jack Lovewell, Amrita Skye Blaine, Kate M. Sine
Please note:
sometimes when creating a collaborative poem, it ends up that even smaller fragments lead to a unified whole or that words and phrases call for further shaping and moulding. This is no reflection on the contributor. Instead, it’s a beautiful reminder that the creative process is always filled with twists and turns.
If you would like to be a part of the weekly collaborative poems I would love for you to join my subscriber chat where we can write together every Friday!
