A collaborative poem
I'm no longer looking for home I forged one and I carry it wherever I roam
they told me home was an address a mailbox a set of keys but I found mine buried beneath old scars and unfinished eulogies I built it from lessons loss and a backbone tempered by flame now every room echoes resilience a testament to my pain the world can try to shift its furniture tempt me into an endless cycle of chasing more but my heart longs to be where peace is a boundary and I can finally rest not fighting everyday to survive it may not be picture perfect I cannot claim to always know harmony I deal with bills snappy arguments piled up dishes but I enjoy cleaning up messes in a house that knows love I was separated from this place for so many years I questioned if it ever existed but I always felt a warmth within me an inner melody that eventually led me home
This was a collaborative poem! Here are the wonderful writers that contributed:
Bob (the Green Druid) Johnson, Kate M. Sine, Amrita Skye Blaine, Samyak's Delusion, Sarasvati Songs, Vision2Verse, Lawrence Omoregie Jr
Please note:
sometimes when creating a collaborative poem, it ends up that even smaller fragments lead to a unified whole or that words and phrases call for further shaping and moulding. This is no reflection on the contributor. Instead, it’s a beautiful reminder that the creative process is always filled with twists and turns.
