Love Lines
Promise me eternity
all I need is your pinky to circle mine and I know I am safe in the tender and delicate touch of your embrace
the moment my longing stops is when I feel your hand gently resting on mine the creases of your palm like love lines deep enough to hold us for a lifetime with every stroke of your thumb you steady me calming my dancing heart promising me eternity even in darkness when I am left squinting I can count on you to hold me the way roots do to water and constellations do to shapes life is precious and uncertain storms may find us and threaten our composure but I wish nothing more than to weather them enmeshed and woven to you our fingers speaking in quiet defiance a language louder than fear where even silence says: we’re still here
This was a collaborative poem! Here are the wonderful writers that contributed:
Eitan Prince, Vision2Verse, Rolando Andrade, Alphonso Sunil, Alex Jenkin, Aoife Casey, HEW(Hue) of Poetry, 🌸 Carolyn Jones 🌸, Dr.Henna - Soul Mentor, Bob Johnson
Please note:
sometimes when creating a collaborative poem, it ends up that even smaller fragments lead to a unified whole or that words and phrases call for further shaping and moulding. This is no reflection on the contributor. Instead, it’s a beautiful reminder that the creative process is always filled with twists and turns.
If you would like to be a part of the weekly collaborative poems I would love for you to join my subscriber chat where we can write together every Friday!
